FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do I need a property inspection?

Whether you’re a buyer or seller, a home or commercial inspection can help identify any unknown issues. Our inspectors will efficiently and thoroughly inspect the property for any deficiencies, maintenance, and safety issues.

Should I attend the inspection?

Yes! If you’re available, we recommend you join us for the entire inspection to get the best overview of the property’s condition. Our inspectors will review the findings with you and answer any questions. If you’re unable to attend, we include lots of pictures and detailed descriptions in your report, and are able to review your report with you and answer any questions by phone.

How long will a home inspection take?

It typically takes 2-3 hours to inspect a 2,000 square foot home. Several factors affect the length of the inspection, including the property’s age, condition, features, additional structures and construction materials. While we work efficiently, we will provide a professional, thorough inspection every time.

What payment options are available to me?

We accept cash, check or money orders at the time of the inspection, or online at any time before or at the inspection with Visa, MasterCard, Discover or Amex. We can accept payment at closing arrangements in some cases for an additional fee.

Can my inspector assist with the repairs?

Unfortunately, no. Inspectors are specifically prohibited from working on homes for customers by state law. We are happy to provide a list of recommended contractors we have personal experience with. We receive no return benefit from these contractors.

When and how will I receive my inspection report?

We guarantee your report will be sent within 24 hours. However, your report is generally available the same day of your inspection.

What is thermal imaging and why is it beneficial?

Infrared (thermal imaging) is a state-of-the-art, non-invasive technology that allows our inspectors to show clients things about their homes or buildings that can’t be revealed using conventional inspection methods. This advanced technology gives our trained inspectors the ability to identify moisture intrusion, energy loss, and other issues

I'm buying multiple properties. Do you offer a discount?

Yes, please give us a call so we can learn more about your properties and your needs.
